Dreams Come True

Dreams do come true.  Every person have a dream.  A dream that they want to achieve.  And what do you call those persons who dream?  A dreamers!  Dreamers, it is!

Young people or should I say kids nowadays have a lot of dreams like magical and fairytale-like dreams.  I want to become a pilot, have a lot of money, live a happy and peaceful life with my love ones and to marry the man I love and have kids.  I know that I am too young for these dreams of mine but someday, I know I can reach for it.  I only have to trust myself.

My future is in my hands.

Our Happy Day

Every school has its own big day.  Just like here in Ilocos Sur National High School, we have the so called High School Day.  In this day, the students can rest their minds from studying. It is like their reliever.

Different activities is done during this big day.  There is the field demo which every grade level will perform in the field their level dance which they have practiced for weeks.  In every classroom, students will also contribute for them to have lunch after the field demo.

Today, I am looking forward to the big day of Ilocos Sur Nationsl High School.  We've been practicing now since last month and I hope that this time, we win.

Highlights

Northern Luzon is full of amazing and wonderful festivals.  To show and share the treasures and cultures of the province to the whole world, locals conceived a festival that shows and highlights the cultural traditions and called it, "Kannawidan Festival".

Here in the Philippines, Filipinos treasure their own traditions and cultures because it is one of the ways on how to remember our ancestors and the history of our country.  Biguenos, which are the local people of Vigan City, celebrates the Kannawidan Festival happily.  The government of Vigan always invites different bands and artist for entertainment.  There is also a carnival there and different contests with big prizes.

Change is Coming

Weather changes.  Your hobbies changes.  Feelings change.  Everybody changes in just a span so no wonder everything changes.

I'm not perfect.  I'm no saint or God.  I have my own flaws and bad traits but I'm doing my very best to become better each day.  I am a short-tempered person.  I always get mad when my parents don't give my whims.  I am a spoiled-brat.  I always cry at petty things.  I feel small about myself when someone compares me to others.  I always overthink everything that is happening.  I feel bad for making the important persons in my life sad and I want to become a better person for myself.  I will cheer myself everytime.  I will concentrate on being happy, positive and contented.  And most of all, I will seek guidance to the Lord through prayers.

My parents taught me when I was young that if you want something, do your best to achieve your dreams and to change yourself not for others but for yourself.

Viva, Vigan City

I roam around the streets of the city and I could see the joy and contentment in the eyes of the people I see and pass by.  Because it is the celebration of the fiesta of Vigan City, my home!

Every 25th of January, the Vigan City Fiesta is being held.  It is the celebration of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, Vigan City's patron saint.  It also include the celebration of the anniversary of the cityhood of Vigan.  Biguenos return to their hometown to celebrate their own fiesta with their families.  There are also a lot of tourists who visits our town to join and watch the celebration which includes street dancing performances, carnivals  and different parades that was prepared by the government.

Vigan City is truly magical.  I can't wait to celebrate more fiestas and I look forward for it.  Viva Vigan City!

New Me

"Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now on a brand new ending." -Carl Bard

Another year it is.  We are now on a new chapter of our life again.  It's 2020!  And I'm so grateful that God gave me another year alive and kicking.  It's time to close the current chapter of our lives and start a new one.  We should let go the sad and bad memories of the past and treasure the upcoming memories.

Just like what we do during Christmas, our family goes to church at exactly 8:30 P.M. during December 31 and after the mass, we stay at the plaza and join the raffles.  Our town have a lot of raffles and prizes like appliances and moneys.  We also had a countdown there and greeted everyone a Happy New Year.  Then, after the party, we went to Turod and celebrated our New year.  And on January 1, we went again to Turod and had a simple New Year's celebration.

New Year, new me.

I Know That I Can

This quarter is a blast.  I've learned and gained something new again and I will forever treasure it in my heart.  It may be hard to understand because the lessons were new to me but afterwards, I may say that I've understand it because of our great teacher.  Also, it was tiring.  We have a lot of activities and our schedule was full and we have a lot of requirements to do but I think I've succeeded to give equal time for lessons and activities.  That's why I thank my teacher for understanding me.

I will surely apply all the things that I've learned to my everyday life and to apply it in the future to reach my goals.  I will study hard to achieve my dreams.  Yes, I know that I can!
